Sosa Factory Trip to Barcelona
This week three of our sales representatives here at Ribble Farm Fare went to visit the Sosa Factory just outside of Barcelona.
The first day saw us land in Barcelona before arriving at the Sosa factory situated in the mountains, about 45 miles outside of Barcelona. The day began with a tour of the Sosa factory, here we saw many of the approximately 3500 products Sosa produce. We saw a sample of these products being produced, both by machine and hand, from the finest quality natural ingredients.
The afternoon was dedicated to the start of the product demos by Sosa’s in house chef Guillermo Coral & Michelle Gillott where we saw how Sosa products such as Sosa Albumin, which can be used as a long-lasting, egg-free substitute to egg whites, or Sosa Pro-Soufflé, a product which can be used for both savoury and sweet dishes allowing for quick and easy Soufflés with greater stability.
The evening provided a wonderful dinner local meats, stews and vegetables at local restaurant La Bufa, before heading to bed after a long day.
Our second day was also dedicated to product demos and tastings. Some incredible dishes were created quickly and smoothly using more of the Sosa range. Products such as Sosa Instagel proved to be an ideal substitute to gelatine sheets without having to heat the mixture.
Many of the Sosa products, such as Sosa Ultratex, are able to simplify and improve many of the techniques and process used to create dishes. Many of the Sosa products we provide are able to act as natural substitutes for different allergies or otherwise less effective ingredients.
Our final day ended with a trip into the heart of Barcelona where we enjoyed some fantastic tapas before heading off to the airport to catch our flight.
