Sourcing built for Ingredients to Inspire.

A sourcing model built on direct relationships and only achieved through scale, providing chefs with the range and reliability their kitchens need. We buy direct through our network of hundreds of the best UK, European and global growers, producers and suppliers to protect quality, flavour and traceability.

How We Source

LONG-STANDING RELATIONSHIPS, NOT TRANSACTIONS

Over the last 35 years, we've built long-term relationships with growers and producers - understanding their farms, standards and seasons inside out. That trust means better access to great produce, stronger continuity of supply, and pricing that holds up in foodservice.

DIRECT CONTROL SOURCE TO SERVICE

We keep control across sourcing, prep and delivery, its all controlled in-house. This protects freshness and quality, allows us to deliver at speed and gives kitchens faster answers with fewer surprises.

CHEF-LED RANGE, SEASON BY SEASON

We work closely with growers across the UK, Europe and beyond to source produce at its peak - guided by in-house chef expertise and real kitchen needs. From the best of British to standout global flavours, our range shifts with the seasons for consistent performance in service.

How We Select

QUALITY, FLAVOUR AND PERFORMANCE IN SERVICE

We source produce that tastes great and performs properly in a working kitchen. We know our chefs love produce that holds its flavour, colour and texture from farm to plate – so it arrives fresh and cooks consistently. That’s why we work closely with growers who understand the seasons and focus on getting each crop to its best.

The Wye Valley, where Chris’s farm is located, has sandy soil, south-facing slopes and the earliest spring sunlight, giving him perfect growing conditions for the most premium produce in the UK.

THE BEST OF THE SEASON

Working with the seasons, not against them. Our growers plan their crops to deliver peak flavour and nutrition when produce is naturally at its best, respecting the natural rhythms of the weather and land.

Chris at Molyneux Kale focuses on sustainable, nutrient-rich soil methods. He has developed his own bespoke crop varieties that perform best at different parts of the year, so he can provide year-round quality local produce.

A UNIQUE STORY

Great ingredients have a unique story and a point of view – whether its where they’re from, who grows them, and why they taste the way they do. We look for products with a real story chefs can share with customers, from menu to table.

HOW WE MANAGE SEASONALITY AND CONSISTENCY WITHOUT COMPROMISING ON QUALITY

We plan around the seasons with our grower network and keep a flexible sourcing mix. This means choosing UK when it’s at its best, and Europe and further afield when that protects quality and continuity. In-house chef expertise helps us choose the right varieties and specs week-by-week, and our own fleet plus on-site prep keeps the route from source to kitchen in-house.
